ABOUT BOYNE RESORTS

Boyne Resorts is a collection of mountain and lakeside resorts, ski areas, and attractions spanning from British Columbia to Maine.  The company owns and operates eleven properties and an outdoor lifestyle equipment/apparel retail division with stores in cities throughout Michigan.  An industry leader in multiple U.S. regions, operations include snowsports and year-round mountain recreation, golf, an indoor waterpark, spas, food and beverage, lodging and real estate development.

Founded in 1947 by Everett Kircher, Boyne Resorts is the third largest mountain resort company in North America.  Kircher owned a Studebaker dealership in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan, and through his love of snow skiing, recognized opportunity in purchasing land and operating a ski resort of his own in the northwest tip of Michigan's Lower Peninsula.  Boyne Mountain opened in the winter of 1948/49, quickly attracting skiers and enthusiasts from all over the Midwest.

Boyne Resorts' geographically diverse locations include Big Sky Resort in Montana, Sugarloaf, Sunday River Resort and Shawnee Peak in Maine; The Highlands at Harbor Springs Resort, Boyne Mountain Resort and Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark, Inn at Bay Harbor - Autograph Collection, and Boyne Country Sports in Michigan; Loon Mountain Resort in New Hampshire; Gatlinburg SkyLift Park in Tennessee; Brighton Resort in Utah; The Summit at Snoqualmie in Washington; and Cypress Mountain in West Vancouver, British Columbia.
