THE SKI GUIDE
2025/26 Season Picks
From plowing through powder stashes to ripping perfectly groomed cord, the right ski transforms good days into all-time days. Our team here at Boyne Country Sports handpicked a selection of models from this year's lineup that we're pretty stoked on—and think you will be too. Tested, trusted, and ready to perform. Whether you're after all-mountain versatility, playfulness when you're off-piste, or high-speed stability, you'll find your perfect match right here.
All-Mountain Skis
All-mountain skis are basically the Swiss Army knife of the ski industry—they're designed to handle whatever the mountain throws at you. Whether you're cruising groomers, popping through the trees, or slashing through light powder, these versatile skis can do it all reasonably well. They're the perfect choice if you don't want to be stuck with skis that only work in specific conditions or if you're still figuring out what type of skiing is for you. Think of them as your reliable, go-anywhere ski that won't leave you high and dry when conditions change.

Nordica Enforcer 99
The Nordica Enforcer has history—it's led the pack of the All-Mountain skis for multiple seasons, and it's arguably one of the most iconic skis of Nordica's line. Recently upgraded with a fully rebuilt construction, the Enforcer is no one-trick pony and continues to land high on our favorite list. With slight tweaks to the shape and radius, each turn has more agility and control on everything from the soft stuff to hardpack. Super playful all around, but responds well to aggression when the moment demands.
FRONTSIDE SKIS
Frontside skis are built for the skiers who love the satisfaction of carving perfect turns on groomed runs. These skis excel on the well-maintained trails you find at most ski resorts, giving you precise control and smooth, predictable handling as you cruise from top to bottom. They're typically narrower and stiffer than other ski types, making them a lot grippier when you're laying down those S-turns. If you're the type who gets a thrill from bombing down fresh corduroy and making clean, arcing turns, frontside skis are your bread and butter.

Volkl Peregrine 82 System Ski
The Volkl Peregrine delivers precision and power for skiers who live for perfecly carved arcs on corduroy. Built with Volkl's renowned German engineering, this frontside specialist features a responsive 82mm waist that grips hardpack like it's a train on rails, giving you the confidence to lay down aggressive, high-speed turns. The ski's construction combines lightweight materials with a stable platform that pounds through variable conditions, whether you're slicing through morning 'roy or tackling afternoon chop. For skiers who deman precision and performance on resort runs, the Peregrine 82 is the pinnacle of frontside skis.
Freeride Skis
Freeride skis are for skiers who want to venture beyond the perfectly groomed runs and explore the wild side of the mountain. These skis are typically wider and more robust than your typical resort ski, designed to float through powder, handle choppy snow, and tackle steep, ungroomed terrain with confidence. They're built for adventure seekers who love discovering untouched stashes, bouncing through tight trees, and skiing where the mountain naturally takes them rather than following marked trails. If you're drawn to backcountry or just want to explore every nook and cranny of resort, freeride skis give you the freedom to ski anywhere the mountain allows.

Salomon QST 94
Brand new to Salomon's QST collection of all-mountain and freeride skis, we welcome the QST 94. Replacing the previous QST 92, the QST 94's construction remains pretty similar. The feel? Better overall thans its predecessor. It can charge on-piste when you need it to, but shines in tight terrain and mixed snow conditions. The ski is described as playful, maneuverable, and an excellent choice for beginner to intermediate skiers looking to venture away from groomed slopes and aggressive skiers who are looking for something more playful and dynamic vs. few and fast turns.
Freestyle Skis
Freestyle, or park skis, are designed for the skier who wants to get creative and have fun with tricks, jumps, and features. These skis are built to handle the abuse of rails, boxes, and big air jumps, with reinforced construction and twin tips that let you ski and land backwards just as easily as forwards. They're typically shorter and more flexible than other ski types, making them playful and forgiving whether you're learning your first 180 or throwing down serious tricks in the park. Freestyle skis are the key to making the mountain your personal playground.

Line Tom Wallisch Pro
The new TW Pro takes everything that made the OG a park legend and cranks it up a notch. Developed directly with Wallisch himself, this ski combines cutting-edge Bio Resin technology wtih reinforced construction that can handle everything from urban street sessions to massive World Cup jumps. The upgraded designs deliver the perfect balance of durability and playfulness, whether you're grinding rails or stomping landings. Needless to say, it's the evolution of what a high-performance park ski should be.
