Stockli Men's Laser CX Ski +SRT12 Bindings 2024
Description
The Laser CX from Stockli, along with their SRT12 bindings, makes for an excellent carving ski for those who are seeking a premium built, more forgiving ski that can still perform at high speeds. It's rather light, and has a softer flex compared to some similar skis in Stockli's line. This creates an easy-to-initiate turn that doesn't buck at slight mistakes. Thanks to Stockli's Turtle Shell technology, higher speeds will cause Titanal plates in the skis to lock-up, stiffening them for a more responsive ride when it's needed. They're also built with an Adaptive Contact Length, which allows for greater edge contact as the angle of turn increases, giving you greater grip in the most wash-out prone of moments. The SRT12 bindings are similar in design to Stockli's racing bindings, but offer a touch more agility and are well suited for a long day of comfortable riding. The Laser CX with SRT12 combination is ideal for fans of finely-cut turns, and those looking for a ski that perfectly marries casual use with high performance.
FEATURES
- Adaptive Contact Length - The greater the edge angle, the greater the amount of edge in contact with the snow, and that results in more grip and stability in turns. The playful feel remains without needing to forgo stability.
-
Light Core - Special wood types are used for all-mountain, freeride,
and touring models. - SME Light - The same edge thickness as the SME (Solid Metal Edge). The edge is not as thickly built into the ski and is pressed differently.
- Turtle Grip - New surfaces on Laser X models. Slightly nubby texture creates a matte/shiny surface that imparts an elegant look to the design. The top graphics layer is also rugged.
- Tail Rocker - A longer rocker at the tail with a flatter radius. Less edge contact for a more playful feel, with optimum grip while edging.
- Turtle Shell - The cut-outs in the Titanal lend torsion neutrality and effortless skiing at a low speed on easy slopes. At higher tempos and rough slopes the Titanal cut-outs interlock. With these cut-outs, the ski is more stable, smoother, and thus lends more security.
