The Ride and Hike toe is what sets the Duke apart from other bindings - in walk mode just pull the removable toe piece cover forward to uncover the pin binding. Shed the unnecessary weight by storing it in your backpack. The multi-functional Lock &, Walk unit automatically locks brakes giving you a 10 degree climbing aid. When you're at the top just put the toe cover back on (secured by Auto Quad Lock) and get the advantages of an alpine toe. The Duke PT 13 doesn't settle when it comes to convenience and certainly doesn't look over reliability, especially during those tricky descents.
