Ski Boots
Low, Medium & High Volume Boot Picks
Selecting the right boot is the fastest way to have a good day on the slopes. Knowing your foot shape and volume is key in finding a fit that will keep you comfortable, warm, and performing at the level you want for the entire day. We make things simple by dividing boots into Low, Medium, and High volume categories, and let you know what the instep and calf fit will be before you even step into a boot. Here are some of our favorite boots from each category for this season.
Low Volume Ski Boots
Low volume ski boots have a forefoot width of 98mm or narrower. They are ideal for skiers with narrower feet, lower arches, or those seeking aggressive heel retention, who expect to work with a bootfitter to customize their fit. Low-volume boots pack the best of the best technology, liners, and BOA® closures.

Atomic Hawx Ultra 130 S Dual Boa®
Designed with the best skiers in mind, the Hawx Ultra 130 S Dual Boa® is a mouthful to say and is packed with equally as much technology. A customizable shell, dual BOA®, and Mimic Platinum moldable liner result in a truly individualized fit that can easily be dialed in on the fly. These responsive expert-level boots are the optimal choice for skiers who really love to tune their fit.
Medium Volume Ski Boots
Medium volume ski boots have a forefoot width of 99-101mm, making them the most common volume boots found on the slopes, built for the "average" foot. You'll find a large variety of instep and calf fits within this category, so you can find the right boot for you. These boots also come in a wide variety of flexes for all skiers, beginner to expert, so you can land on a comfortable boot that performs based on your skill level.

Nordica Speedmachine 3 120 BOA® DD
A true performance staple in the medium volume category, the Nordica Speedmachine 3 120 BOA® DD gets upgraded this season—and we're here for it. The addition of a second BOA® closure to the cuff provides improved wrap on the cuff with on-the-fly adjustability. Add in the premium 3D Cork liner that is not only warm and comfortable, but very responsive, and you have a recipe for precise carves and comfort that lasts up until the last chair.
High Volume Ski Boots
High-volume ski boots have a forefoot width of 102mm or wider, ideal for skiers with wide feet, a square toe profile, or tall insteps. Most high-volume boots are designed to fit taller insteps and larger calves. If you're caught in between a medium and a high volume boot, typically you'll have a better experience with a medium volume boot customized to fit correctly—we recommend coming into any one of our stores to get your boots fitted by a pro-fitter. In higher flexes, these boots are aimed towards performance, while softer flexes are aimed towards comfort and ease of use.

Tecnica Mach1 HV 120
As the originator of the high-performance, high-volume ski boot, Tecnica has set the standard for this category, and the Mach1 HV 120 is still the current gold standard. An impressive performance combo, the T-Drive rear spine offers increased stability and edge-to-edge control, combined with the customizable C.A.S. liner that gives you better responsiveness for an on-snow feel. Toasty Celliant® insulation keeps chilly toes at bay, and a Double Quick Instep adds comfort in key areas for higher volume feet so you can spend more time on the hill.
